Functional Livestock Guardian Dogs
Our aim is to have good quality LGDs on our farm to protect our livestock from the local coyote population. There is actually a den of coyotes on a close neighboring farm and our dogs have changing their ranging habits that they travel on the other side of the road from our farm and have not been heard close to the bounds of our property for many years - although we do hear them in the area.
We have used many different breeds and have produced litters of hybrid dogs that we have found to be excellent. We have experimented with crossing the heavier Central Asian Shepherd breed over the Akbash breed to very good success.

Puppies:
It is our intention to offer puppies reared with livestock in the Summer of 2020 from a breeding using one of our home-bred females and sired by a recently purchased dog who is a descendant of our best ever sire - "Igor".
"Valco" will sire the puppies and they will be from a daughter of "Igor". We are very excited to see and evaluate the litter in the Spring of 2020.
